Let’s Drag Dutch Brothers Coffee

This post is going to be much more lighthearted than the other installments in this series. I will be the first to tell you that I have never had the opportunity to go to any Dutch Brothers Coffee establishment. They don’t have a single location in my state and I have been waiting, hoping that they might find a way to get here. I definitely need something like what they have to offer because every city in my state is crowded with Beans & Brews and Starbucks locations. Neither of these places offers the combination of quality coffee and customer service excellence that I have heard are commonplace at Dutch Brothers Coffee.

I have attempted to reach out to Dutch Brothers Coffee on numerous occasions since 2013. I contacted their corporate office several times and received no reply. I reached out to individual franchises and the response was tepid at best. One location said that they would send me some coffee to write about, but I never heard from them again. I got frustrated and went to reach out to their corporate office again. This time I got through and they were much more receptive. Talks broke down somehow and I never heard from them again either.

I realize that Dutch Brothers’ operations depend on franchising. If someone wanted to open up a franchise in my state, they could bring Dutch Brothers to my friends and neighbors sooner than expected. That outcome doesn’t seem like it’s…
